Why Choose Bridal Day Films? |
 Since my days
as an
actor in college theatre, I have undertaken a lot of professional training both in
the
formal classroom setting and at the school of hard knocks where I ultimately started my
career
in the Film and Television industry. I knew my acting was not going to carry me far and the
art of creating an interesting film really interested me - it was a
perfect fit. My training includes The Professional
Film
and Television Workshops of Rockport (Maine), where I studied to
become
a Camera Assistant in the Motion Picture Industry with some of the most talented craftsmen in the business. After a decade
in the film world I made the switch to video to start honing my skills
as a Shooter / Director. With the advent of video cameras
recording a 24p "film-like” look at a fraction of the cost of an actual film production – it was a no brainer. So, I made the
switch to video.
Now the question was – “What to shoot?” Why not weddings? The
subject
matter is Romance and most people like a Romantic Story.
Plus, I
would have the creative freedom to paint the canvas, so to
speak, with images that not only told the story but were
beautiful to
look at. Happy people celebrating a sacred ceremony in some of the most beautiful settings. It worked for me.
What
I enjoy about each
wedding is the opportunity to tell that
individual story. Each Bridal
Day Films video is as unique as
its bride and groom, the families they bring together and the location they choose to celebrate. Highlighting
the subtle nuances of the day while utilizing some of today's latest camera techniques makes each Bridal
Day Films video a cinematic work
that many of our clients tell us they will cherish for years to come.
I would have to say that one of the
most rewarding parts of what I
do
is hearing client feedback. Nothing gives me greater satisfaction in
this career than to be in the middle of an edit and feel the emotion of
the scene. Being a father of a son and a daughter myself draws me into
each video I am creating and wondering what their day will be like.The
joy
and emotion a couple express
after viewing their video for the first
time is a real rush for me. I
am truly blessed to have the opportunity
to pursue my passion, while
